Planking Finally Put to Good Use: Used to Reach Flood Struck Areas
BULACAN, Philippines — After typhoon Pedring and Quiel brought strong winds and rains to different parts of the country leaving millions without their homes, it is nice to hear good news for a change.
A group of activist, calling themselves PLANTSA or Planking for National Teamwork & Stability Alliance with the help of the Philippine National Red Cross went to inaccessible areas that were hit hardest by floods. And in an act of humanity and sheer talent, one by one, PLANTSA members lay on the ground until forming a “human bridge” so that army trucks and volunteers could cross the flooded river where a bridge once stood.
